Ernest Toho, legal name Chigozie Ernest Mbanefo, is Africa’s King of Matchmaking and Dating Coach, and the founder of Justified Connect Singles World.
For more than a decade, his work has centred on one conviction: singles deserve clarity, honest guidance, meaningful community, and a better way to approach dating.

Background
Two countries. One enduring calling.
Born and raised in Lagos, Ernest is the first of five children. After losing his father at the age of nine, he was raised by a mother who put all five children through university and into professional careers. Ernest graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1999.
He has spent over two decades in Nigeria and over two decades in South Africa, experiences that shaped his understanding of dating, identity, family, and relationships across two distinct social landscapes.
From 2008 to early 2012, Ernest led the youth and singles ministry within a Johannesburg church community whose membership strength exceeded 9,000. That period of pastoral counselling and community leadership revealed the work that would become his lasting focus: walking alongside singles with clarity, compassion, and practical direction.

2012The year the institution began
In late 2012, Ernest founded Justified Connect Singles World. What began as one man walking alongside singles, one conversation at a time, has grown into an institution designed to do that work at scale, across Africa, its diaspora, and the world beyond.
JCSW operates on two connected levels. The Dating Mentality Reset helps individuals change how they think about dating: know yourself, filter first, and own every decision that follows. The Date Right Movement addresses dating culture collectively, calling for honesty, fairness, and lower-pressure first meetings.
Its purpose reaches beyond matchmaking. JCSW exists to protect and enrich the lives of singles generally—through friendship, community, fun, travel, belonging, and support on their own terms.
As Founder and Royal Patron, Ernest remains its guiding vision and founding voice for life, while building the institution to professionalise and eventually operate independently of his daily involvement. A true institution should outlive one person’s daily presence.
